ERLEN MARSH

Ms. Marsh brings to the board of ACT more than 12 years of experience in the non-profit field working with special needs individuals. In June of 1998 Ms. Marsh began working for Developmental Disabilities Resource Center in Lakewood, CO. She runs a department overseeing computer instruction and tutoring of adults with disabilities. In addition, she is on the DDRC Golf Fundraising Committee, the DDRC Recognition Committee and the DDRC Investigation Committee. She also provides staff trainings and assists with the PAL Program which provides refurbished computers for individuals with disabilities. Ms. Marsh graduated from Albertus Magnus College in 1992 where she was involved in theater and music. She settled Colorado in 1998 and now lives in Denver with her husband, Andrew and 2 cats.

TIMOTHY L. HALLFORD

Mr. Hallford is President and CEO of Adobe Interlock, LLC providing for increased road safety through technology. Through his efforts, death and injuries from DWI’s has reduced significantly in New Mexico. Mr. Hallford created and served as President of the New Mexico Interlock Distributor’s Association and has served as a lobbyist for the association at the New Mexico legislature. Mr. Hallford previously served on the board at Warehouse 21, a youth center in Santa Fe, which recently built a new $3 million youth center serving 40,000 youth each year in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He holds a master degree in Public Affairs from Indiana University and has served in both public and private sector positions in criminal justice. Mr. Hallford is the proud father of two children, Ashley, age 20 and Devin, age 18.

DAN P. McLELLAN

Mr. McLellan has been a certified Speech-Language Pathologist for 21 years. He has been in private practice for 3 years. Mr. McLellan works primarily with children and adolescents with a variety of neurological and developmental communication and feeding challenges. Mr. McLellan served for 4 years as an officer on the Board of Directors for Employment Links, a nonprofit organization providing job training and support for developmentally delayed adults. Previously, Mr. McLellan has worked in the public schools and was program coordinator for the Department of Pediatric Rehabilitation Services at Boulder Community Hospital in Boulder, Colorado. He received his Master of Arts from the University of Colorado in Communication Disorders and Speech Science. Mr. McLellan enjoys biking and races triathlon and trail runs. He is married and has two children, Taylor (16) and Jackson (13).

CARRIE MATTER

Ms. Matter, MS, PT has been a Physical Therapist for 9 years. Her area of specialty is orthopedic care to a predominantly elderly clientele and she works with patients who have physical and/or developmental disabilities. Ms. Matter went to Wheaton College where she received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then went to Regis University where she earned her Master’s of Science in Physical therapy. As a physical therapist, she works with developmentally and physically disabled patients. She is married and a step-mother to a son with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As both a cyclist and therapist, Ms. Matter is excited about how bicycles enable her family do to things together as a family. She is interested in how bicycles help the disabled correct faulty movement patterns, give opportunities for social interaction and how the aerobic exercise of biking helps them intellectually.

ROBERT MATTER

Mr. Matter has had a variety of experiences in the special needs world. Besides having a son who has Autism Spectrum Disorder, he coached a special needs t-ball league in Indiana prior to his move to Colorado. In the 14 years he has been in Colorado, he has coached and ran the Special Needs T-Ball league in Little League District 2, been a volunteer for multiple years with Special Olympics, sat on the Family Support Board at North Metro Community Services and participated on the State of Colorado DDD Board as a parent representative. Mr. Matter has 19 years of corporate marketing experience and has been an avid cyclist most of his life. He has participated in events such as Bike MS, Elephant Rock, and other large cycling events as well as has toured parts of Europe by bicycle. Mr. Matter graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public and Environmental Affairs and a graduate degree from Florida State University in International Affairs. He has also lived and studied part of his undergraduate work in Paris, France. He is married with one child and enjoys biking, reading and travel.
